Ringsend Park is a large community park serving Ringsend and Irishtown in Dublin’s south inner city. It combines open green space with a broad range of sports facilities and is one of the area’s main recreation spaces.
The park is particularly useful for active visitors. Dublin City Council lists soccer and GAA pitches, all-weather pitches, a tennis court, basketball facilities, an athletics track and a playground. Its location also makes it easy to combine with Sandymount, the Docklands or a walk toward Dublin Bay.
Spring through early autumn offers long daylight for outdoor activity. The park is also useful year-round for exercise, subject to weather and seasonal opening hours.
