About the Park
Prince William Forest Park is located in Triangle, Virginia. Chopawamsic Recreation Area opened there in 1936 to house children's "relief" camps during the Great Depression. The area was renamed Prince William Forest Park in 1948. Its woods and streams have welcomed campers, hikers, bikers, and nature lovers.
