Hartstown Park is one of the most important community parks in Dublin 15. It combines open green space with walking and running routes, sports facilities and play areas, making it useful for both everyday recreation and more active visits.
The park has benefited from a multi-year improvement programme aimed at increasing both active and passive recreation. Fingal County Council highlights facilities including walking and running trails, adult exercise equipment, a callisthenics area, a children’s woodland agility trail and a full-size multi-use games area.
Hartstown Park received Green Flag recognition, an international benchmark for well-managed public green spaces. The award reflects improvements in maintenance, recreation and sustainable management.
Alongside grass pitches, the park includes all-weather sporting provision and areas suitable for informal exercise. Families can use the play and agility spaces while walkers and runners have room for longer circuits.
The park works year-round, although spring through early autumn provides the longest daylight and most comfortable conditions.
