St Anne’s Park is one of Dublin’s major urban parks and the largest park managed by Dublin City Council. Spanning more than 220 acres between Clontarf and Raheny, it combines woodland, formal gardens, historic features, sports areas and long walking routes.
The park was once part of the Guinness family estate and still contains follies, woodland walks and designed landscape features. The Red Stables, an arboretum, native tree trails and the Rose Garden are among its best-known attractions. The annual Rose Festival is also a major summer event.
Late spring through summer is ideal for the Rose Garden, while autumn is excellent for woodland colour. The park is large enough to reward repeat visits throughout the year.
