About the Park
Theodore Roosevelt National Park is in Medora, North Dakota. Theodore Roosevelt came to Dakota Territory in 1883 to hunt bison. His experiences in the rugged landscape and strenuous life he encountered there helped shape a conservation policy that continues to benefit the nation.
