    About the Park

    Thomas Stone National Historic Site is located in Port Tobacco, Maryland. In 1776, Thomas Stone and 55 others signed the Declaration of Independence. Stone risked his home, his family’s security, and his life to support the Declaration of Independence’s promise of freedom. The site is open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
