About the Park
Tumacácori National Historical Park sits at a cultural crossroads in the Santa Cruz River valley. O’odham, Yaqui, and Apache people met and mingled here with European Jesuit and Franciscan missionaries, settlers, and soldiers. These encounters included both conflict and cooperation. Timeworn paths connect visitors with stories of enduring relationships, vibrant cultures, and traditions of long ago.
