About the Park
Wind Cave National Park protects two distinct environments: an underground cave system and a sunlit landscape of prairie grasslands and forested hillsides. Bison, elk, and other wildlife roam the park. Wind Cave is described as one of the longest and most complex caves in the world. The park is one of America's oldest national parks.
